The Center for Coastal and Marine Studies (CCMS), Varna, Bulgaria, as partner in the MARSPLAN-BS II project participated at 34th International Geographical Congress, held 16-20 August, 2021 in Istanbul, Turkey (virtual) and presented main results, progress and lessons learned. The director of CCMS Dr. Margarita Stancheva was a session co-chair and speaker.

The MARSPLAN BS II Project was presented by the project coordinator, Angel Gyorev, Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, Sofia, Bulgaria to the Workshop on Integrating an Ecosystem-based Approach into Maritime Spatial Planning, 27 January 2021, organized by Milieu Consulting SPRL with the following partners, ACTeon, Baltijas Vides Forums, Stichting Wageningen Research and Fresh-Thoughts Consulting GmbH. The event was also attended by: Mr. Bogdan Ghinea (MDPWD, Bucharest, RO), Mrs. Vesselina Troeva (NCRD, Sofia, BG), Mrs. Laura Alexandrov and Mrs. Laura Boicenco (NIMRD, Constanta, RO), Mrs. Margarita Stancheva (CCMR, Varna, Bulgaria) and Mrs. Tatiana Begun (GeoEcoMar, Constanta, RO).
